About Me

Hello, I am
Macady Birch

A Marriage and Family Therapist who believes healing happens in relationship, at your pace, and with someone in your corner who genuinely cares.

My story

Hi, my name is Macady Birch. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have a deep commitment to supporting couples, individuals, and families who find themselves stuck. Whether you're navigating a tough season, feeling stuck in communication patterns or conflict, or struggling to find the way forward, I'm here to make sure you feel seen, understood, and supported.

I have spent many years working with individuals, couples, and families, and I find deep meaning in being present with people during some of life's most difficult and tender seasons.

Walking alongside you

In couples work, our focus will be on building practical skills to help you communicate with greater clarity, navigate conflict in constructive ways, and strengthen your emotional bond. I believe that thriving relationships are not the result of luck. They are built through intention, vulnerability, and a shared commitment to grow together. I work collaboratively to help you develop the tools that deepen emotional closeness and mutual respect, so that your relationship becomes a foundation of strength rather than strain.

I also enjoy working with individuals and families navigating challenges like self-worth, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. Life has a way of leaving its mark on us, and I believe healing is not only possible but genuinely within reach with the right support. I am committed to meeting each person where they are, with compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for their unique story. No two people arrive at the same place in the same way, and I take care to honor that truth. My goal is to offer a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change, because everyone deserves to step into the best version of themselves.

Warm, collaborative, and grounded in your goals

Therapy is not about being fixed. It is about returning to yourself with more understanding and compassion. I work to create a space that feels safe and unhurried, where you can be honest without fear of judgment. From there, we move at a pace that feels right for you.

You set the direction

Your goals lead the work. I bring structure, perspective, and practical tools, but you are always in the driver's seat.

The whole picture

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I pay attention to relationships and context, not just symptoms, because we heal in connection with others.

Real, lasting change

We focus on insight you can use and skills you can carry, so progress continues well beyond our sessions together.

Education and training

My training spans evidence-based models for individuals, couples, and families. In my graduate work I trained extensively in Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Master of Marriage and Family Therapy

University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS

I trained extensively in evidence-based models including Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My clinical training spanned individual, couples, and family therapy, and I gained hands-on experience at The Women's Center in Hattiesburg, MS, working with clients navigating addiction, eating disorders, and substance use. These experiences deepened my ability to hold space for complex, layered struggles with both skill and compassion.

Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies

    Weber State University, Ogden, UT

I built a strong foundation in child development, family systems, and human behavior. These core areas of study shaped the way I understand individuals within the context of their relationships and family dynamics, and laid the groundwork for the clinical and therapeutic work I would pursue at the graduate level.

  3. 2015

    Associate of Science

    Snow College, Ephraim, UT

I completed my foundational general education coursework and developed the academic skills and discipline that would carry me through my continued studies in child and family development.
